She had just gotten to the part where Bella kisses Edward for the first time when she had a hot and cold flash and had the strange feeling that someone was watching her…
She didn’t look up from her book.
She was too engrossed.
She really should have.
Suddenly Maddie felt a hot prick on her neck…it may have been her imagination but she wanted to believe she was a vampire…
She got up and went to the bathroom to look in the mirror…
She looked closely… were those bite marks?
What was happening to her hair? It almost looked like it was… it was! And her fingers were disappearing one by one. Her grip no the table slackened until she could not feel it anymore. She tore her eyes off her hand, her other hand had gone through the table! She was like a ghost…
Soon Maddie would be gone altogether, she had to do something!
She ran down the stairs and yelled to her parents…they couldn’t hear her.
Maddie decided she would have to find the person who had bitten her. She felt the bite marks on her neck and had an idea. She ran back upstairs to her room…
She was right. Her body lay on the bed as cold as a vampire. Maddie didn’t cry, she couldn’t, she just stood there in shock. Then she noticed that her body was moving. Its chest was rising up and down slightly. She was alive! But she wasn’t in her body, what was going on?
Behind her a shrill voice said, “you will soon be dead.”Maddie whirled around but all she saw was the hem of a dark cloak as it covered her face and everything went black.
